Navigating Your Care

Appointments & Cancellations

Appointments:  Appointments are available as needed and established patients will usually be accommodated the same-day for acute care needs.  We welcome new patients and walk-ins for same day care as space is available.

Cancellations:  If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please provide us with 24 hours notice when possible so that we may offer your appointment time to someone else.

Prescription Refills

Sound Health Care Center primarily utilizes electronic prescribing.

  1. To refill a prescription: Contact your pharmacy or notify us by utilizing our Patient Portal.  The pharmacy will send us your request along with the current dosing for the providers approval.  While we will work as quickly as possible to process your request, please allow up to two full business days (48 hours).
  2. Mail Order Pharmacy:  If you choose mail-order prescription service, you may contact your provider’s medical assistant by telephone at (360) 876-2434 or through the Patient Portal.  Written prescriptions will be available to pick up or can be mailed within two working days of the request.  Remember to allow 2 weeks to receive your medications by mail.
  3. No refills remaining:  If you have no refills remaining, please contact your pharmacy to request a renewal. The pharmacy will coordinate with your doctor to make sure you are getting the continuity of care you deserve. You may also request refills through our Patient Portal.
  4. For a written prescription:  Call our office at (360) 876-2434 and speak to a member of your health care team.  When leaving a message, they will need to know your full name (or the name of the patient), date of birth, name of the prescribed drug, how you are taking it (dosage, how many times per day) and if you would like to pick up the prescription or have it mailed.  Please be sure to leave a call back number in case there are any questions.  We request a minimum of two full business days (48 hours) in order to process your prescription request.
